Jurassic Park

In today's Lesson we had to watch jurassic park and evaluate.

the editing was used to create rhythm, because the scene got faster as the scene went on but when it started it was very slow. The editing of the t red walking created intensity and rhythm to the scene.

How was sound used?
sound was used affectivity, it added tension and made us feel like we were in the scene and made the audience scared when the dinosaur roared, it also set a mood for the film.

Sounds I heard :
I heard many different sound effects such as animals like lions, dolphins, birds etc.
I heard different sound effects of cars crashing and glass shattering
I also heard sound effects of rain

storyboard / shot list

activity

problems

throughout our entire process of making this short film. Holly and I had some problems with another group member.
I acted and helped with the shots
Holly filmed and helped with the shots
Our other partner did not help in any way. She only had one job and that was to bring the shoe which our entire film was based around. We got feedback from mr andrews that we needed to re film.
She knew this but put the shoe on a plane to Malaysia.
So we had to re film everything again because we needed a new shoe.
Other then that the film is great and there was no other problems.

lesson

In media today, we showed our teacher our rough edit and got some helpful feedback, our video is 1 minute to long so we need to cut and trim some clips, redo and re take some shots. also we have to use the rule of thirds and go back to our film locations and redo only a few clips to make the project smoother and help the audience understand.

lesson

Today in media, Holly, phoebe and I went to collect the camera we would be using to film our project, it came with a tripod as well but in the end we only borrowed it at the end of the lesson and didn't have enough time to film on it. As a solution we thought we should just end up filming on the iPhone so that way we can keep the footage, and be able to get the camera whenever we needed to film, having the phone 24/7 was very helpful.

areas

Today In media, my partners holly, phoebe and I went around the senior school to find the locations where we would be filming our silent film. We looked at our storyboard and found the perfect locations.

  • chapel stairs
  • netball courts
  • my house
